The ultra-slim, chic, compact, all metal design of Fujifilm's new FinePix Z5fd comes equipped with an extensive range of attributes that enable the capture of beautiful photographs and also makes it the perfect accessory for the style conscious.

Fujifilm Senior Category Manager – Consumer & Professional Products, Matt Dole, said the FinePix Z5fd features hardware-based Face Detection technology, a selectable mode that enables the capture of up to 10 faces in a frame and optimises focus and exposure to take the best possible people photos.

"Available in three colours – raspberry red, mocha brown and silver - the FinePix Z5fd also debuts Fujifilm's new blog mode whereby the camera copies and automatically reduces the size of copied images for fast and easy posting to a blog, web page or email attachment," Mr Dole said.

"With its 6.3 megapixels, Fujifilm's sixth generation Super CCD HR and ISO capability up to 1600 at full resolution, the FinePix Z5fd also incorporates a non-extending Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens as well as Fujifilm's Picture Stabilisation Technology which at the touch of a button will select the correct light sensitivity and best shutter speed to help provide high quality digital photographs without blur.

"The FinePix Z5fd is equipped with Real Photo Processor II technology to reduce noise and provide enhanced colour reproduction. The camera also includes Fujifilm's i-Flash (Intelligent Flash System) which analyses a scene and automatically controls the flash power output.

"The Dual Shot Mode enables the capture of two shots in quick succession - one with flash and one without before displaying them side-by-side for an instant comparison.

"There are also 14 special scene modes on the FinePix Z5fd, including Fireworks, Beach, Snow, Flower Close-up, Party and Text which are easily accessible with the camera's one touch setting.

"The FinePix Z5fd is equipped with a convenient 26MB of internal memory to accommodate those extra shots if the card is full. The camera also includes a dual memory card slot accommodating the xD-Picture Card™ and Secure Digital (SD) card formats.

"Other features include TV-quality VGA movie capture of 30 frames per second with sound; 2.5-inch LCD screen with reinforced acrylic protective shield; tripod mount facility; as well as infrared communication via IR simple technology," Mr Dole said.

Accessories include a Lithium-ion battery NP-40; AC Power Adaptor; hand strap, USB cable, A/V cable, CD-Rom with FinePix Viewer and ImageMixer VCD2 LE for FinePix.

The Fujifilm FinePix Z5fd is expected to have a recommended retail price of $399.00, including GST.
